Wester Caputh Steading Hostel is located in Dunkeld, Perthshire, Scotland.
Welcome! Willkommen! Acceuil! Welkom! Huan Ying!
You can find us in the peaceful village of Caputh, 4 miles east of Dunkeld on The River Tay - the largest volume river in the UK.
The Steading Hostel sleeps up to 16 people in 5 bunk bedrooms (3x2, 1x4, 1x6) and there is a large comfortable living, dining area with a wood-burning stove and a well equipped Apple shares kitchen. The garden/patio is south facing and there are picnic benches and charcoal BBQ for use when the weather allows!
The nearby historic town of Dunkeld is delightful and centred around a medieval square and Cathedral. Perthshire is truly beautiful with stunning scenery and we are extremely well positioned to explore the surrounding countryside and all it’s treasures – Perthshire 'Big Tree Country' encompasses Europe’s oldest tree and the world’s tallest hedge! The munros are breathtaking, providing a wonderful challenge or you can enjoy the peace of shorter walks through the countryside by some of Scotland's most stunning rivers/lochs. And, of course there is our wonderful wildlife - famous osprey's are only 3 miles away.
Overall, Perthshire has a lot to offer for short or longer visits!
